The beginning

The idea was born right after I purchased Pinnacle Miro Studio DC10+ Right before that (that was january 2001)I took a new computer to digitize video.

Achievement

But to achieve the project was not so simple: We have to be at home avery time the series were shown; we have to check and set everything - even when the lights were out we used UPS-а for powering up the computer and videorecorder. But my wife and me (It's not by chance our server called Maxiol - Maxim and Olga) were always on time for the translation and we recored EVERY episode of the series!

1st season - 40 CD
2nd season - 36 CD
3d season - 21 CD
4th season - 20 CD
5th season - 18 CD

Q: What hardware was used for digitizing ?
A: Miro Studio DC10+

Q: What was the original the copy was made from?
 A: The recording was made right from TV translation on TNT channel
We used Panasonic NV-FJ600 as TV-reciver
Q: Whith what stream and resolutuion?
 A: Digitizing was made in 4.5mb per second and with resolution 768х576 (full caption). Then we did croping up to 752х560
Q: What codec was used for packing
 A: DivX3.11a

Q: and a stream?
 A: ~2.1mbit
Q: Why we didn't use DivX5.02 ?
 A: That was before it was released
Q: Why I need so many CDs?
 A: That was made for me and for the children. So we wanted to sawe it in max quality
